How To Connect With The Elements In The Summer Time
Fire. It's a beautiful thing. It can be almost mesmerizing to look at. It is great for quiet reflection time. This is why you will see lots of people lost in thought around a campfire. Yes, campfires can be loud and noisy depending on the crowd. Next time you're around a campfire focus on just the fire for a moment. Be quiet and be still. Just let your thoughts take over. Going to bed that night, you should feel extremely relaxed. It will be glorious.
Water. Even though this is not my element, I love water. I love when it rains, I love hot showers and I love to swim. This summer you should be out swimming as much as possible. If you have a cottage take advantage of it and go swimming as much as you can. Swimming in a lake or even a pool can be so relaxing. Take a moment to just let the water surround you. Can't go swimming? That's fine! Try taking a walk in the rain instead. Close your eyes and feel it touch your skin. You will love it!
Air. This element is all around us. In fact we could not live without it. Take a moment the next time you're taking a walk in nature and take some deep breaths. It will help to calm you! Another idea is to sit in a meadow, at a beach or on a small cliff. Simply sit there and meditate. Close your eyes and feel the wind blow. Air can be a strong and powerful thing!
