How To Connect With The Elements In The Summer Time

Fire, water, air, and earth. The four elements. You connect with these elements almost every day and I bet you never even think about it. Take away one of these elements and you would take notice though. Let's stop taking advantage of these elements, and let's connect with them this summer instead.

Fire. It's a beautiful thing. It can be almost mesmerizing to look at. It is great for quiet reflection time.  This is why you will see lots of people lost in thought around a campfire. Yes, campfires can be loud and noisy depending on the crowd. Next time you're around a campfire focus on just the fire for a moment. Be quiet and be still. Just let your thoughts take over. Going to bed that night, you should feel extremely relaxed. It will be glorious.
Please for the love of that is holy, remember fire safety and don't let it get out of control!

Water. Even though this is not my element, I love water. I love when it rains, I  love hot showers and I love to swim. This summer you should be out swimming as much as possible. If you have a cottage take advantage of it and go swimming as much as you can. Swimming in a lake or even a pool can be so relaxing. Take a moment to just let the water surround you. Can't go swimming? That's fine! Try taking a walk in the rain instead. Close your eyes and feel it touch your skin. You will love it!

Air. This element is all around us. In fact we could not live without it.  Take a moment the next time you're taking a walk in nature and take some deep breaths. It will help to calm you! Another idea is to sit in a meadow, at a beach or on a small cliff. Simply sit there and meditate. Close your eyes and feel the wind blow. Air can be a strong and powerful thing!

Earth. The easiest  way to ground yourself is to connect yourself with the earth. Run you toes in the sand, or feel the grass between your  toes. No matter your fancy, take a minute to really appreciate Mother Earth and everything she does for you!

No matter which element you belong to, you can connect with any of these elements. Just take a moment, appreciate it and thank it for being a constant in your life.
